DLC Generator

Last updated 1 year ago

If you wish to add your character to this menu or want to create packs with all of your characters in them, you can follow this guide.

  • Navigate to the DLC menu under Advanced > DLC

  • Swap the mode from Append to Generate and then the DLC type from Assets to Presets

You're now in the DLC Generation menu and you're ready to start generating your pack!

Options
  • Use ICPReset | This will export your rig into a specialized file that can be re-imported later using the mode! (Allows a way to easily send and share presets to friends!)

  • Generate Baked | Generates a high performance alternative of your preset that has its features removed, locked, and cannot be customized.

  • Generate Thumbnail | Takes a picture of your preset in a preset position instead of needing to create one manually and specify a file location

  • Thumbnail | A filepath to an image that will be copied and used as the thumbnail, disabled if you are generating one instead

  • Pack Name | The name of the pack, think of this as a root folder, so you can put as many entries (presets) as you wish into this pack.

  • Entry Name | The name of the specific entry, for example, if your creating a character with the name Kyle you would save this entry as Kyle.

  • Your Name | The name of the author of the preset

  • Version Number | Usually left on default, this describes the version of the preset, if you're making a Kyle v2 you would put in 2.0.0 or V2

Example Setup

This will create a folder in your DLC folder name My Rigs with an entry of Kyle. An example file structure has been provided below

|_My Rigs
    |_rigs
    | |_Kyle
    | | |_Kyle_NORMAL.blend
    | | |_Kyle_BAKED.blend
    | | |_info.json
    |_thumbnails
    | |_Kyle.png
    |_settings.json

Once you're done setting everything up, click the Generate Pack button and your preset will now appear under the DLC menu!
